  • Presentation: Dr. Rick Goulding "The James Webb Telescope"

    The James Webb Telescope (JWST) is the most complicated and expensive telescope ever built. Will this successor to Hubble
    change the way we look at our universe like Hubble did? This talk will be a brief tour through the development, capabilities and
    mission of the JWST and events leading up to its' imminent launch in December of this year.

    Rick Goulding is a long time member of the Dept of Physics and Physical Oceanography at Memorial. He has an interest in
    amateur astronomy and all things science, spreading the word of science where he can.
