"46p/Wirtanen" taken December 13, 2018 from St. John's Newfoundland, as it approched the constellation Taurus and the Pleiades. The comet was at a distance of about 30 times the distance to the moon on it's closest approach to Earth (7.1 million miles) . The image shows a very faint tail and thin atmosphere of dust. I imaged the comet with a Nikon D 3300 and a 80mm Ed telescope.
