Photo of comet "C/2007 N3 (Lulin)", a faint comet that drifted past Earth on it's way to deep space, photographed on February 26, 2009 by  Tim Caruk.  Comet dust released by heating of the sun has been blown back by the Solar wind to form the tail.  I took the image, from St. John's, with a 5 inch telescope with an LPR filter.  It is a time exposure taken over about an hour.   Since the comet was tracked as it moved past, star trails were formed showing it's motion.
