Comet Pan-Starrs became visible for the first
time as the clouds cleared in St john's on March 18,2013. This is how it appeared
from Signal Hill on a cold -12 wind chill evening. The core and outer coma were a
great sight in a small telescope. I used a Nikon D5000 with a135mm lens and
a polarizer. the exposure was 8 seconds at ISO 1600.
