Galaxies M81 & M82 both in the constellation Ursa Major were imaged here with a 80mm ED refractor scope and a Canon 350d SLR camera. 67 30 second images were combined using Deep Sky Stacker. M 82 also known as the Cigar Galaxy is undergoing a sort of explosion at it's core region. The images were taken at the dark skies of Butterpot Park, Newfoundland on May 30, 2008 by Tim Crauk.
