M42 & NGC1977 photographed from backyard in east-end St. John's on November 25, 2006 by Chris Stevenson. It's the sum of six 15s exposures, some periodic error, and pushed a bit too hard in processing to suppress the sky background. Note the unfortunate violet halos around stars; time to get a minus-violet filter! (Canon EOS 350D at ISO1600, Celestron Nexstar 80GT on homemade poncet platform).
