This image of Mars was taken on Jan 6, 2010 using a Celestron 8 inch SCT and a Meade DSI imager from Gary's backyard observatory. The diameter of Mars is currently only about 13 arc seconds. The large polar cap is currently melting and decreasing in size. Click on image for full original photo. |
