This is how Jupiter appeared on Sept 16, 2010 from my backyard. The planet's Great red spot storm can be seen near the edge at the lower right. The lower equatorial Dark cloud region this year has been covered by high altitude white clouds making it disappear. I took the image with a Canon A 540 camera attached to a 8in Meade SCT by combining about 900 images with Registax. Click on image for full original photo. |
