Image of Jupiter taken from St. John's, Newfoundland.
Photographed by Tim Caruk - March 1, 2014

Thias is how Jupiter appeared on March 1st 2014 through my C9.25 SCT telescope. The planet is now receding from Earth and has an equatorial diameter of about 42 arc seconds. A turbulent atmosphere can be seen in the wake of the Red spot storm that has just disappeared around the right rim.
I combined about 800 images taken with a Neximage 5 camera.
