Image of Jupiter taken from St. John's, Newfoundland.
Photographed by Tim Caruk - October 24, 2012

Jupiter on the early morning of October 24, 2012.  shows a wealth of stormy clouds in it's upper atmosphere. The large moon in the foreground is Ganymede just before it crossed in front of Jupiter. The smaller moon Io had just emerged from behind the planet.  I took this image using a neximage 5 ccd through a C9.25 scope.
